BATHHOUSE in Monkstown (01-214 0907) has cut the price on some of its most luxurious baths by up to 40 per cent including this one, called The Island Bath, which five-star travellers may recognise from the Toussrok Resort in Mauritius.
It’s made of composite stone and comes in a choice of colours, from pure white to stone white (pictured), a creamier colour called Kalahari and the black.
Even with the price reduction it’s an eye-popping €4,725, down from €7,895. This price includes VAT at 21.5 per cent. It needs a reinforced floor to sit on, as it weighs 170kg unfilled.
A one-off kitchen for a one-off price

THE KANG BED from Living Quarters (01-670 6626) is in a sleek, floating style and comes in a choice of sizes, headboards and finishes: customers can have the bed painted in any Farrow Ball colour. A standard 4ft 6in double bed was €660 and is now €396 while a 5ft or king-size was €669 and is now €402. In addition, Living Quarters has money off the matching Memory Foam mattress so you don’t have to schlep elsewhere to complete your bed purchase. A mattress for the double was €600 and is now €360 while the king size mattress was €650 and is now €390. A matching locker is down from €220 to €120. Beds and lockers can be made to measure. This offer runs through June.
