Dublin 4 guesthouse sells for €3 million: The auction season got off to a strong start yesterday with Glenveagh, 31 Northumberland Road, Dublin 4 - a two-storey, 13-bed Victorian era redbrick (currently a guesthouse) - selling under Lisney's hammer for €3 million, substantially over its guide of €2.25 million.

Bidding opened at €2 million. There were three bidders and five bids later the house sold for €3 million.

Lisney also secured €2.86 million - €1.16 million over its €1.7 million guide - for Winstead, 1 The Rise, Mount Merrion, Co Dublin. The six-bed detached house stands on 0.37 acres. Bidding opened at €2 million, and there were six bidders and 12 bids.
