Shoparound: Contemporary furniture and interiors company Instore officially launched its latest outlet in Sligo last weekend to add to its shops in Limerick, Galway and Waterford. Plans for stores in Dublin and Cork are well underway.
The store is a big hit with first-time buyers, investors looking for a complete fit-out and people looking for a fresh new look when they trade up.
Founded in Limerick 17 years ago, Instore imports its furniture from Europe and Asia.
"We try very hard to make sure that we have very affordable ranges which are fresh, stylish and that little bit different.
It is possible to get a very nice look without going down the designer route," explains managing director Barry Clogan.
Great buys in the shop at the moment include the chunky Bastille dining table and six chairs made from solidoak with a honey oak finish, which is priced at €999.
If you're looking for something more contemporary, check out the stylish Tessa oak dining table and six chairs which cost €1,429. A new range of lighting includes the smart Ellipse table with a heavy-weight base and large domed brushed glass screw-on shade for €39.
For the same price are lavish vintage-style Seville table lamps in red and gold or navy and gold.
A little pricier is the retro lounge floor lamp with solid marble base and chrome stand and shade priced at €299.
For the livingroom, the smart Annabelle set of a three and two-seater, available in black or brick leather, is priced at €1,599.
Fun and shaggy Afghan cushions in black, brown, red, orange, green and beige are priced at €39 and are sure to jazz-up any sittingroom.
A pony hide chaise longue is priced at €799 and the fabulous red leather Monta chaise longue costs €1,259.
In the kitchen accessories department, check out the hot pink weighing scales (€49.95) and bright red citrus juicer (€39.95). Funky vases are priced from €10.
