Tuesday (September 8th) John Weldon Auctioneers, Cows Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin. Rare coins. An Irish 1943 Half-crown €1,000 (€1,000-2,000); a 17th century silver Ormond Crown €550 (€500-€800).
Tuesday (September 8th) Capes Dunn & Co, Auction Galleries, Stockport England. An 18th century carved mahogany side table, described as “probably” Irish and estimated at £300-£500 sold for £19,500. The auctioneers said it had been part of a “consignment including furniture and paintings from a property in Hale, Cheshire”.
