Couches clearing at Arnotts

THE Conran Shop at Arnotts (01-8050400) has 50 per cent off several of its tableware collections – perfect wedding gifts. The Organic Sand design comes in a blue and turquoise print. The cereal bowl was €12.95 and is now €6.48, the salad plate was €11.95 and is now €5.98 and the dinner plate was €19.95 and is now €9.98.

Arnotts’ main furniture collection also has several bargains reduced to clear. There’s the compact Monaco (above), a two-seater sofa down from €1,099 to €599. The sofa bed in this style was €1,249 and is now €799. Both are available in grey, red or beige. And theres 25 per cent off orders on Ligne Rosets Togo in Alcantara. The large sofa, normally €2,699, is at €1,999. Its available in more than 40 colours.

Birthday bargains at Roche Bobois

ROCHE Bobois is celebrating its third anniversary with a sale. Its Quantum leather sofa was €5,590 and is now €2,500 and the Vertigo desk is reduced from €3,840 to €1,999. Investment buys include the Chronos dining table set, which comes with four chairs and is down from €8,648 to €5,800. The Anagramme seating upholstered in Kenzo fabric includes six seats, an ottoman and six scatter cushions: it was €13,515 and is now €8,100.

The lovely cones

BO CONCEPT (01-2932008) at Beacon South Quarter Retail Park in the Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18 has colourful conical candlesticks reduced to clear.

Sold in sets of five, they'll add attitude to the simplest of suppers. They're reduced from €79 to just €29.

Relocation, relocation, relocation

LIVING Quarters (01-6706626) is moving from Cornmarket, Dublin 8 to the antique quarter of Francis Street. Dublin 8. Before they move they’re holding a relocation sale. There are contemporary solid wood bed frames in double and king size, reduced from €700 to €350. The super-king size was €800 and is now €400.

A pocket-sprung mattress is down from €650 to €400. Futon beds are reduced by 25 per cent. These offers are available on floor stock and also on orders taken before the sale ends on July 27th.

Bargain Flooring:

TILESTYLE (01-8555200) currently has Maple Anchorage Silk Matt wood flooring at €18 per sq m. Previously, it was priced €62 per sq m. Available in three-strip-wide planks, it has a glue-free locking system and is offered with a 15-year guarantee. The Tilestyle showroom is at Ballymount Retail Centre, Ballymount Road Upper, Dublin 24.

ROYAL County Furniture (046-9022688) at Beechmount Industrial Estate in Navan, Co Meath has a pair of Queen Ann chairs upholstered in deep buttoned burgundy leather. The chairs were, reduced from €1,695 each to €795 each. A “big brother” version of the chair pictured was €1,695 and is now also reduced to €795.

More Bang for your buck

FANS OF luxe electronic label Bang and Olufsen (01-2602404), located at 6 Main Street, Donnybrook, Dublin 4, will be delighted to hear that the shop is opening a second-hand area selling top-drawer electronica at more affordable prices. Pictured is a second-hand 50in plasma television which costs €19,950 new and is being sold for €5,000. That's still a lot of money but considerably less than its original eye-watering price tag. This and hundreds of other items will be on sale from Monday July 5th. There will be between 50 and 75 per cent off all second-hand items.

Dressing down

THE KITCHEN Shop (01-4505301) on Ballymount Road, Walkinstown, Dublin 12, has a floor model traditional-style solid oak dresser with open and concealed shelving and pull-out wicker drawers, reduced from €3,500 to €1,400. And for storage fanatics there's a full-length Franklin wall display unit in walnut with frosted glass doors containing frosted glass panes. It was €1,800 and is now reduced by to €750. Delivery within the Dublin area is free; expect to pay about €75 for installation.

A luxurious new leaf

KEVIN Kelly Interiors (01-6688533) at 105 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 4 has limited stock of Zoffany's Winterthur Leaf, which will add a swathe of personality to any space. Normally priced €104 per metre it is on offer at €62 per metre, while stocks last. There's also 15 per cent off Chivasso linen and cotton fabrics for the month of July. These come in neutrals such as greys, taupes and greige.
