DUBLIN 16: FROM €415,000SOME OF THE last units at the Ballintyre scheme in Dublin 16 go on sale this week. The Glenkerrin Homes development on the grounds of the imposing Ballintyre Hall is nearing completion.
The scheme has been a big success for developer Ray Grehan. Over 500 apartments, duplexes and houses have been built on the 24-acre site off Ballinteer Avenue.
The final block of apartments will be completed late this summer.
This block comprises nine two-bed apartments. Sizes range from 68sq m to 81sq m (732-872sq ft) and prices start at €415,000. This block is beside the original house, which is on the market for €3 million.
The courtyard and stables of the 19th century house has been converted into a small mews scheme, where the final one-bed costs €400,000.
There are also three three-bed penthouses, from 144-230sq m (1,550-2,475sq ft), starting at €695,000.
All apartments have good kitchens, stylish bathrooms and recessed lighting.
They also come with one car-parking space and penthouses have two.
Proximity to the Luas and Dundrum Town Centre have been a big draw at the scheme.
