40 more apartments at Loreto Abbey

Rathfarnham/from €355,000: Forty more apartments at the Loreto Abbey scheme in Rathfarnham are being released this week through Hooke & MacDonald.

All of these are two-bedroom units with 71-80 sq m (760-860 sq ft) starting from €355,000. Standard features in this phase include an en suite with the main bedroom, gas-fired central heating, fitted kitchens with marble worktops and balconies.

Loreto Abbey is a 260-apartment scheme in the grounds of a former abbey near the village of Rathfarnham with easy access to the M50. It will comprise seven apartment blocks ranging in height from two to five storeys. Most of the blocks are arranged around the perimeter of the site to maximise the open space between the new blocks and the period abbey buildings (which include a Victorian chapel, Georgian house and concert hall). Most of the apartments are dual aspect with large windows and cantilevered balconies.

The first apartments are complete and the remainder are to be finished later this year and into 2005. A first phase of 100 apartments was sold off-plans last year. Loreto Abbey will include extensive landscaped grounds; it is across the road from Castle Golf Course .
