TODAY It's a girls' night out tonight at the fifth annual North West Lesbian Weekend, where there will be food, entertainment and a disco with DJ Sarah from Kiss, in the Clarion Hotel, Sligo. There's a music session tomorrow and loads of other events and workshops under this year's theme, Celebrating Lesbian Lives.

TOMORROW The always entertaining You Just Have to Laugh event is on at The Sugar Club in Leeson Street, Dublin tonight with the cream of the country's funniest writers. Roddy Doyle, Pat McCabe, Donal O'Kelly and Marian Keyes will be reading from their work from 8pm. Tickets €25 from 01-6787188 or www.thesugarclub.com.

MONDAY Enable Ireland's Action Week on Disability starts today. The organisation is inviting anyone, any age, to join in sport, play or recreation. To help arrange a fund-raiser, join a sports day or simply donate, call 1850-204304. TUESDAY I love you, You're perfect, Now change is a musical revue that has been playing off-Broadway for almost 10 years and recently packed houses at the King's Head Theatre, London. Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Tickets 20/€15. www.paviliontheatre.ie.

WEDNESDAY West Coast Cooler Glamour events are being run at Radisson Hotels across the country at the moment and tonight it's Dublin's turn for what the organisers are calling a night of "sultry stars, foxy fashion and enchanting entertainment". It starts with a champagne reception at the hotel in Stillorgan before the hordes are introduced to a gaggle of style, food and beauty gurus. Tickets are €50 and can be booked on 01-8721122.

THURSDAY If you like Chinese food but prefer to make it yourself, head to Tesco at Clare Hall, Dublin, where Ken Hom will be giving a demonstration. He'll show you what he knows, 12-2pm.
