The search is on to find the nation's favourite places to shop. Two days into the competition and we have already had a thousand entries across our ten categories.
Counties Dublin, Cork and Wicklow lead the charge accounting for 23 per cent, 13 per cent and 11 per cent of the nominations. Limerick is holding its own with eight per cent of the votes. So far the kingdom of Kerry has won seven per cent of the nominations. County Kilkenny has six per cent while Kildare, Tipperary and Waterford have made an impression on readers with each garnering three per cent of the overall vote. Counties Longford, Offaly, Louth and Leitrim where are your shopkeepers?
What about the rest of the country? Where can readers spend their hard earned money in Co Carlow, Co Cavan and Co Laois? Is there nothing to buy but stony grey soil in Co Monaghan?
