I closely identify with this plant as my hair has been near to shuffling off this mortal coil more than a few times and these shampoos and conditioners can help to strengthen and reinvigorate over processed and neglected locks.

Neom Intensive skin treatment candle (£36 online)

Light this rich essential oil candle for thirty minutes to allow a pool of oil to form, blow it out and after two minutes the oil will have cooled enough to drizzle over those parched bits - elbows, knees or to to be used for massage. Spa candles like this one feel so decadent and a real treat; but you know what? Sometimes you just deserve it.

I don’t know about you but by this time of the year I am sick to death of looking as pale as a block of HB Vanilla and although I definitely do not want to look tangoed I like to introduce an impression of bronzy colour. This is not a new product but it is so good; lightweight and sheer and a stellar multitasker as it also works when mixed with foundation or moisturiser. As a plus, because you need to use so little, a bottle will last for a very long time.

Unfortunate name aside, Hot & Big, is a heat protectant spray that will not only help to safeguard hair from the ravages of the blow dryer but also provide root lift and hold your style in place. It works best on fine hair and using the age old trick of tipping your head forward when blow drying will help it to volumise more easily.
