TONY CLAYTON-LEAtalks to Calvin Harris
What's on your rider? We made some changes recently – we added Cornflakes and orange juice, and took a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels off.
What would be on your fantasy rider? Meat-flavoured crisps, from smoky bacon to bbq rib.
What's your pre-gig ritual?I like to get my brain together, so silence is good. I take a walk, think about things.
How do you get to the gig? Most of the time we're parked round the back of the gig, so walking would be the best option.
What's the best gig you've been to?I liked Underworld in Perth, Australia, a lot, mostly because of the giant balloons they released at the end.
And the worst? It would be unfair to name names, but there are a lot of terrible bands out there. You don't need me to tell you that.
Ecologically speaking, are you closer to Radiohead or Motörhead? It's nice to be a bit of both, so I'd place myself somewhere in the middle.
Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?Dizzee Rascal, maybe. Mika came to one in Holland. He's a nice man.
Most embarrassing on-stage moment?I was once a bit sick and it dribbled down my chin. This was in the drinking days. I was in the middle of a verse, so I don't think anybody noticed.
What's your crowd-pleasing number? The Girls always goes off wherever we are. I have a feeling I'm Not Alone might go down well this time round, too.
Chatting between songs – good or bad?First time round I did a lot of chatting – too much, even. Second time I did absolutely none. Now, I'm going to split the difference, and hopefully come up with just the right amount of chat.
Groupies – would you?No way.
Have you a special stage wardrobe?Absolutely. There are a lot of things I can get away with on stage that I wouldn't dare wear walking down the street.
Any useful stage tips?Relax, it's all a bit of fun.
