Theatre composer and former Auto Da Fé keyboardist Trevor Knight has set the wit and wisdom of Dorothy Parker to music, and who better to sing it than Honor Heffernan (below), one of our most distinguished jazz vocalists, who has a store of her own wit and wisdom to bring to her performances. And there’s more than able backing from a group that includes Knight and guitarist Conor Brady.

Glorious Madness
Fáilte Ireland Tourist Office, Dublin Ends Jul 4 noon-5pm on the hour €5

Anu Productions return to the streets of Dublin with Glorious Madness, which brings the experiences of those who lived through the Easter Rising back to life. In typically rigorous style, the theatrical material is drawn from true testimony. The 1916 Rising was deceptively contentious, with protesters taunting rebels from the sidelines of the street. This is a window into history that you would never get from reading a book.
