Director are joining the ranks of Irish bands that are no longer associated with major labels and are now on their own. The band were previously signed to Warner's Ireland, which, released their debut, We Thrive on Big Cities, a few years ago. The Dublin act have finally come out from the studio and returned to the fray with intermittent dates this month and a nationwide tour in May.
The gigs are in support of a follow-up album, I'll Wait for Sound(out on Director's own label on May 8th) and a new single, Sing It Without a Tune, which is released on May 1st.
Last time around Director made quite a splash; they’re more than a solid proposition, so hopes are high that their return will warrant something akin to a tsunami. Bath towels at the ready, then.
