TRACK OF THE WEEK

Walking on the Moonby Kris Menace Ft Emil. We're very excited about Emil, an east London multi-instrumentalist who sings like a cross between Prince and Bruno Mars. Oh, and he always carries a walking cane. What a gent! He's yet to release any solo work, so we've had to sate ourselves with this guest spot on Kris Menace's slice of disco-funk.

Happy birthday, Miley Cyrus! The Disney superstar turned 18 on Tuesday, and headed straight out onto the dance floor, nodding her head like yeah all the way. Rumour notes that she was with her new boyf – fellow Disney hunk Avan Jogia. And why not? Now she’s legally an adult, we’re pretty sure she can’t be tamed.

The much-maligned Kimberly Walsh (you know? From Girls Aloud? Oh for goodness sake, here’s a picture. Yes! That one! At last . . . ) is finally stepping up her endorsement empire. While her most recent foray was into Argos jewellery, we’re glad to note that Kimbo has landed a role in Horrid Henry 3D, playing Prissy Polly. Onwards and upwards, Walsh.

There’s nothing but heartbreak in the world of pop of late. Not only have Marvin JLS and Rochelle Saturdays split, but now Frankie Saturdays has called it quits with long-term beau Dougie McFly. Let’s hope The Saturdays make a brilliant heartbreak record. Sources say poor Dougie is devastated. “He didn’t see it coming at all and still doesn’t know why. They were planning to settle down and were actually house-hunting.” At the very least, we hope The Saturdays can now make their version of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, with guest spots from McFly and JLS?

In happier news, it seems that all of Pop Corner’s pals are coming together for the sake of the greater pop good. Leona Lewis has recruited Hurts and Jessie J to write for her new album. Says Theo “I Love Suits” Hurts: “She has an incredible voice and is not-bad looking either – so I’d definitely be up for it.”
