A club night with a twist takes place in Dublin this weekend. Ireland is one of 14 countries participating in the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange programme, and on Saturday night, a generous helping of Argentinian nightlife culture will hit the north Dublin suburbs as a host of South American-themed performers and practices take to the Wright Venue in Swords. In turn the exchange will see Irish DJ Dave DeValera play Buenos Aires, and numerous other similar exchanges will take place in six continents.
The Dublin event will involve the performance-art troupe Arcadia and a fire-breathing horse called Paka, as well as cocktails and food from Buenos Aires and beyond, and tango flash-mob dancers. There’ll also be plenty of music: Argentinian DJ Elio Riso, who has a summer residency at Ibiza’s Space club, will be behind the wheels of steel on the night. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and on the door.
