It’s a full band show, so anyone who has caught Andrew Butler and friends when they’ve played here before know that this is a reason to be cheerful. With Hercules Love Affair, the groove really is in the heart. Over the course of two albums, and especially via the band’s many whirls under the glittering mirrorball, Butler and his many collaborators have shown that they know the score when it comes to sublime, incandescent disco, house and electropop.

Latest album Blue Songs features Butler collaborating with the likes of Bloc Party's Kele Okereke (doing his best drama queen turn on Step Up), Patrick Pulsinger, Shaun Wright, Aerea Negrot and HLA regular Kim Ann Foxman. But even when he doesn't have an A-list nameon the card, Butler demonstrates considerable chops, with a dazzling, spaced- out take on Sterling Void's It's Alrightthe pick of the crop.
