Glazed display cabinets may fetch £3,500

Drums's forthcoming furniture and fine art sale includes some ornate black boulle and red tortoiseshell ormulu mounted pieces, most notably a pair of glazed display cabinets, estimated at £3,000 to £3,500.

A good single-door boulle trophy cabinet is expected to make up to £2,000 and a boulle credenza has an estimate of £1,500. Some fine brown furniture is included in the lots, the most interesting piece being a neat mahogany sideboard that would be suitable for a smaller modern house. It carries an estimate of £1,200-£1,500. The sale will take place next Thursday at Drums's Malahide salerooms.
