Take a step back into your youth with this new strategy game, which puts players in charge of an army of antique first World War soldiers doing battle in Europe. Built by Microsoft for Xbox Live Arcade, the game has a suitably nostalgic feel to it, with graphics deliberately veering towards cartoon-style representations of the die-cast favourites.

The equipment at your disposal includes tanks, cavalry, biplanes, and flamethrowers. You can choose to fight for control of individual units or use a strategic view to command an entire battlefield. Getting into the thick of it gives you a perspective that is often lost in similar strategy games.

There are elements of tower defence in this title as well, with players expected to repel waves of enemies. This can get a little flustering, but once you get the measure of things, you should be dispatching the enemy with ease. A fun way of reliving your childhood favourites.
