Star Fox 64 3D

You might have heard that a sci-fi classic that's not The Phantom Menacewas being rereleased in 3D this month. Star Fox 64 3Dis a whole different story. A spruced-up repackaging of the 1997 Nintendo 64 favourite, Star Fox 3D is a flight simulation/ shooter with cute talking animals as the pilots. As Fox McCloud, you fly a spaceship through hazardous skies, avoiding and shooting asteroids, enemy vessels and giant robots and protecting the rest of the squadron. It plays either with Nintendo 64 controls (mimicking the original game) or 3DS mode, which exploits the machine's "gyroscope" controls (or tilting the console). Maybe they could have improved some of the cheesy voice acting and a-melodic music from the original, but why carp? Add an extra star to the rating if you're feeling nostalgic.
