Abrahamson does Toronto

More from the Toronto International Film Festival

More from the Toronto International Film Festival. What Richard Did, Lenny Abrahamson’s much- anticipated follow-up to Garage, will receive its world premiere there early next month.

What Richard Did was written by Malcolm Campbell, who is best known for his work on TV series such as Skins and Shameless. It follows some tragic months in the life of a privileged south Dublin youngster. The film will be released in Ireland on October 5th.

Paul Andrew Williams’s Song for Marion will close Toronto. Having startled with his debut, London to Brighton, Williams went off the boil with The Cottage and Cherry Tree Lane.

Song for Marion stars Terence Stamp, Vanessa Redgrave and Gemma Arterton in the tale of a struggling choir. The grey pound continues to flex its muscles.
