Transition Times: exhibitions and events for transition-year students
Model behaviour University College Dublin's school of mathematical sciences is offering transition-year students a free five-day training course in mathematical modelling, from March 20th to 24th next year. Maria Meehan of the university says that students should apply to take part in teams of three or four. If you'd like to be included, e-mail her at Maria.Meehan@ucd.ie, with your contact details and a short paragraph on why you would like to take part in the training week. The closing date is Friday November 25th.
Curtain up The drama society at Sandford Park School, in Ranelagh, Dublin, is putting on a musical next week. Puss 'n Boots, which starts on Thursday, November 17th (at 7.30pm) and runs until Saturday, November 19th, takes a modern approach to the classic tale. Tickets cost €8-€12.
