A note to a letter headed "Poverty Trends" in last Tuesday's editions was abbreviated and omitted to mention that the National Anti-Poverty Strategy was announced in March 1995 by the Minister for Social Welfare, Mr Proinsias De Rossa, who committed the Rainbow Coalition to its implementation.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
