A report on the Second Millennium Lecture "The Marginalised Child" in London in Tuesday's editions may have given the impression that the lecture was organised by The Irish Times and Bank of Ireland. In fact, the organiser was the Lillie Road Centre in London, which runs residential homes for adolescent boys.

A report in yesterday's Property supplement said that 20 Temple Park Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin, was withdrawn at auction at £280,000. The estate agent has now confirmed that the withdrawal figure was, in fact, £240,000 but says that an offer of £280,000 was made immediately after the auction which was declined by the vendor.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
