In an extract published last Tuesday from a forthcoming book on the President, Mrs Robinson, Sister Joan Stephenson of Mount Anville school was quoted as stating that the British judge, Lord Devlin, and Prof HLA Hart of Oxford were keynote speakers at the inaugural auditor's address to the TCD Law Society, given by Mrs Robinson (then Ms Mary Bourke) when she was a final-year law student on February 3rd, 1967. Sister Joan, who read relevant sections of the draft text of the book prior to publication, wishes to state now that Prof Hart was the sole main guest.
A report in the editions of Tuesday stated that a new Church of Ireland church in Kerry had been designed by Peter O'Reilly. The architect's name should have read Peter O'Farrelly.
The report in yesterday's editions of the case taken by the Environmental Protection Agency against Procter and Gamble in respect of the pollution of Nenagh's water supply last year described one of the expert witnesses, Mr Jerome Keohane, as being British-based. Mr Keohane has pointed out that, contrary to what was stated in court, he is based in Carlow.
