Transition Times: This week is Netd@ys week and schools North and South are reaching out to the world using modern media such as the Internet, digital photography and video.
The week's theme, 'Dialogue Between Cultures', fits in nicely with the National Youth Council's One World Week (see right).
The two organisations are coming together today, Universal Children's Day, to host an International Youth Forum on Peace and Conflict.
Anyone under the age of 25 can log on to www.youth.ie or www.netdays.ie between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. today to talk to young people from around the world about war and conflict. There will be a live chat period from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Other Netd@ys activities around the country today include the Junior Galway Film Fleadh Young Film-makers' Project, a four-day film festival which runs educational and general interest screenings, film-making and animation workshops and other events for young people up to the age of 18.
The project runs from November 19th to 22nd. For further details, go to http://galwayfilmfleadh.com/junior.htm
