Summer’s here and the time is right for raving in the fields. Life Festival returns for its fourth run and the Neutronyx-helmed event moves to the 18th-century walled garden in Athboy, which used to house PODs Garden Party a couple of years ago.
It is, as is always the case with Life, an eclectic, far-reaching, innovative bill. Future Sound Of London headline the fest with the pioneering duo performing via ISDN line from London.
Those who will actually be present include Detroit innovator Carl Craig, hardcore veterans Altern8, new school dubstep dude Caspa, drum’n’bass activist and actor Goldie, house kingpin Green Velvet, French electronic producer Sebastien Leger, evergreen junglist Nicky Blackmarket, Swedish soulful techno producer Christian Smith and Israeli psy-trance chap Astrix.
Naturally, there’s also a strong Irish showing including D1’s Eamon Doyle, Pogo’s Barry Redsetta, Electricity’s Giles Armstrong and a rake of others.
