Yeats's `Gypsy' work fetches £11,200

The de Vere's sale at the National Concert Hall last Tuesday evening attracted a capacity crowd and some strong prices. Jack B. Yeats's drawing, And She Followed the Dark Eyed Gypsy O, was the top-selling lot, fetching £11,200.

Letitia Hamilton's A View through the Trees at Glengarriffe sold for £4,800 and her Summer Flowers fetched £3,600. A Percy French watercolour of Dublin Bay sold for £2,100 and a typical James le Jeune of children on a beach made £2,200.

Niccolo d'Ardia Caracciolo's A View of the Carmine Church, Florence sold for £3,700.
