NHL DIVISION TWO Westmeath 1-14 Antrim 1-13:WESTMEATH RECORDED their first league win of the year by the narrowest of margins at Cusack Park yesterday and the midlanders now have an outside chance of retaining Division Two status.

The home side deservedly led at half-time, 1-7 to 0-9 – the goal coming when Ciarán Curley rifled home from close range.

Antrim took the lead in the sixth minute of the second half, Shane McNaughton finding the net from 20 metres. It was nip and tuck thereafter and the sides were tied at 1-12 apiece, before Westmeath edged in front again for the win.
