NTL group, the new owners of Cablelink, have announced that the former managing director of Cablelink, Mr Kevin Windle, will continue to work with the company in a consultancy capacity. Mr Windle, who is currently chairman of the Cable Communications Association of Ireland, joined Cablelink as managing director in 1985 and grew the business from a subscriber base of 200,000 to 370,000 in 1998 and increased the company's turnover from £8 to £40 million.

Mr Ian Jeffers, who previously worked with NTL in the UK, is to be the managing director of NTL Ireland.
