Lisburn got a 200-job boost yesterday with the announcement of a new deal between two American electronics companies. Bemac Engineering, which already has a plant in Lisburn, Co Antrim, is to the base for Electronic Manufacturing Systems' new European operation. The multi-million pound deal with Colorado-based computer and telecommunications giant EMS will extend Bemac's premises by 60,000 sq ft over the next two years. Its workforce will rise from 150 to 350.
