TULLOW Oil has announced the appointment of Mr Eskandar Maleki to the board. He has a 9 per cent stake in Tullow through Centrotrade Corporation, his investment company.

An Austrian, he has been an investor in Tullow since 1992. A spokesman for Tullow said Mr Maleki had not asked for representation. Instead, Tullow had asked him to join the board because he was a "solid shareholder", noting that he had taken up his entitlement in the last rights issue.
