Teradyne, the US interconnection systems manufacturer, remains committed to building a business campus in Cavan employing 740 people over the next five years, despite reporting sharply-reduced first-quarter earnings.

While the company is looking at severe contractions in many of its markets, it still expects growth in its interconnection systems business, which will be carried out in Cavan.
