Andor Technology predicts ‘record’ order intake

Belfast-based company says sales restructure is starting to yield benefits

Andor Technology said it expected order intake to reach record levels for the year as a sales restructure started to yield benefits.

The Belfast-based firm,which develops and manufactures high performance scientific digital cameras for academic, industrial and government applications, said order intake during the second half of the year was better than anticipated.

It expects results for the financial year ended September 30th 2013 to be in line with predictions, it said.

“While there is uncertainty as to the timing of the call-off of these orders, we are pleased with the commitment shown by our customers to Andor,” the company said in a statement.

Andor warned market conditions would remain challenging in the near-term, but said it would focus on initiatives to deliver long-term growth. That includes acquisitions in line with its strategy, it said.

Andor will publish its full-year results on December 2nd.
