Stratus Computer Inc, which employs 350 people at its Blanchardstown manufacturing centre, has announced a 17 per cent increase in first quarter earnings to $17.3 million (£12.3 million). Revenues rose by 5 per cent to $164.1 million and Stratus said it was pleased to have met the consensus of earnings estimates for the quarter despite the adverse effects the Asian downturn had on overall revenue.
