Stakelum resigns from Greencore

One of former Taoiseach Mr Charlie Haughey's accountants, Mr Jack Stakelum, has resigned from the board at Greencore.

One of former Taoiseach Mr Charlie Haughey's accountants, Mr Jack Stakelum, has resigned from the board at Greencore.

Greencore has announced that Mr Stakelum, who was revealed in the McCracken Tribunal as the man who managed Mr Haughey's living expenses following Mr Des Traynor's death, has decided not to go forward for reappointment at the next annual general meeting. He is also to resign from the board.

He has been a non-executive director of Greencore since its flotation in 1991.

Greencore has co-opted Mr John Kinder as a non-executive director of the company from yesterday. Mr Kinder is a director of ED & F Man and managing director of ED & F Man Sugar.
