The chief executive of the Irish Continental ferries group Mr Eamon Rothwell has spent almost €3 million (£2.36 million) to more than double his shareholding in the company to 4 per cent. Mr Rothwell bought 584,140 ICG shares - 2.2 per cent of the total - at €4.90 each yesterday, just above the year's low. This cost him a total of €2.86 million (£2.25 million).
