Luxury shoemaker Tod’s threatened yesterday to scupper a multimillion euro restoration deal for Rome’s crumbling Colosseum after its sponsorship of the scheme came under scrutiny from regulators and unions.

Italys antitrust body is looking into a deal that grants Tod’s exclusive rights to the Colosseum’s logo for 15 years in exchange for €25 million. – (Reuters)
