Peterhead, the mechanical equipment company, has reported strong results for the six months to the end of July, with pre-tax profits of £1 million on sales of £9.6 million. These figures include only four month contributions from the Peterhead Crane Company and the Birchwood forklift truck company and, when annualised, the figures produce restated profits of £1.38 million on sales of £12.1 million. Peterhead's only Irish operation is Kells Sand & Gravel which broke even on sales of £110,000.
