Merrill Lynch has appointed Mr Chris McGale as relationship manager for Ireland. Mr McGale, a native of Omagh, Co Tyrone, joined Merrill Lynch through the firm's acquisition of Smith New Court in 1995 and became director of equity sales for Ireland in 1996.
Friends First has appointed Mr Seamus Keane as strategic business manager. Mr Keane, who has held senior marketing roles with both Bank of Ireland Asset Management and Irish Pensions Trust, will manage the development of new channels through strategic partnerships, affinities and e-commerce.
Mr Ronnie Moncur has been appointed business services controller with Ladbrokes Ireland. A native of Dundee, Mr Moncur was previously security manager of Ladbrokes division in Scotland.
Mr Derek Wilson has been appointed country manager of Siemens Business Services (SBS). Mr Wilson was formerly head of the industry division within SBS.
Assurelink, which provides e-commerce solutions to independent financial advisers, has appointed Mr Gary Morrissey as chief executive officer. Mr Morrissey, who was head of business operations at the company, is a former manager of Enterprise Ireland's e-business unit.
Bord Iascaigh Mhara has appointed Mr Michael Keatinge as fisheries development manager.
Mr Sean O'Driscoll has been appointed to the position of Adjunct Professor at the National College of Ireland (NCI). A graduate of NCI, Mr O'Driscoll is group human resources director with ESB. Mr Eoin O'Driscoll has also recently been appointed to the position of Adjunct Professor at NCI. Mr O'Driscoll is managing director of Lucent Technologies' Irish operations and a vice-president of its international operations.
