Soldering products manufacturer Oglesby & Butler has said its new gas-powered glue gun should significantly boost its sales.

The company's annual general meeting in Dublin heard that the firm plans to extend its current premises in Carlow to provide some of the expected increase in capacity when the gun comes on the market.

The company says the new gun (the temperature of which is controlled by the company's patented thermostat) should be on the market in April and will be a market leader.

The company has purchased two-and-half acres surrounding its current site and intends to use these to increase the size of the plant.
