As recruitment companies explore every avenue to address the skills shortage, Computer People Ireland has launched a new website.

The Irish branch of the European IT recruitment and contracting company is moving to Web-based communications with job seekers and contract workers. The site, at www.computerpeople.ie, contains details of permanent and contract jobs as well as links to other Computer People sites around the world. It also allows interested recruits to submit curriculum vitae online.

Ms Grainne Martin, branch manager, Computer People Ireland, said: "We're getting tremendous interest from IT workers looking for opportunities here. We are also keen to attract employers to our site as the decision to invest here in the first place very often depends on the availability of people."
