Motorola invests €59m in Swords

Motorola, the mobile telephone manufacturer, has announced a $55 million (€59

Motorola, the mobile telephone manufacturer, has announced a $55 million (€59.3 million) investment programme for its Swords, Co Dublin, facility, where it employs 1,600 people. The plant will produce some five million phones this year.

The company employs 400 people in Cork and recently announced its largest-ever inward investment in Europe, at Dunfermline in Scotland, where it will manufacture semiconductors.
