ABN Amro's chief economist, Dr Dan McLaughlin, will join Bank of Ireland. Dr McLaughlin succeeds Mr Jim Power who is now investment strategist at Friends First. Dr McLaughlin has been with ABN for 11 years and before that worked at Midland Bank, now HSBC, in London. He will be director of the treasury at Bank of Ireland and responsible for all economic output.
