A new £5 million extension to the Panpak Bottling plant in Dundalk, Co Louth has been opened by the Minister for Finance, Mr McCreevy. Panpak manufactures bottles and packaging for several drink companies, the largest being Coca Cola Bottlers Ireland. The 20,000 sq ft extension will house new equipment and will give the plant capacity to produce in excess of 300 million bottles a year. Panpak employs 75 people and was established in 1980.
