Manufacturing price rises slow

The manufacturing output price index rose by 0.5 per cent in April 2001, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO). Year on year, the index rose 2.9 per cent compared with an annual increase of 3.1 per cent in March. The index for home sales rose by 0.1 per cent and the index for export sales rose by 0.9 per cent in the month, the CSO said.
