The Jurys Hotel Group opens the doors of its first inn in Britain this morning. The expansion brings the number of hotels and inns operated by the company to 16 with a total of 2,676 rooms.

Jurys London Inn, a 229-room budget hotel at Pentonville Road, Islington, will cater for business people, tourists "and hopefully many Irish people for weekends", said the group's managing director, Mr Peter Malone.
