Ingredientsnet.com, the Irishowned business-2-business marketplace for food manufacturing buyers and sellers, has expanded into the United States.
Chief executive Mr Tom Galvin said the company's rapid progress had enabled the opening of the Chicago office.
IngredientsNet has signed up more than 100 US and European food ingredients companies as registered customers since it was set up last March.
Mr Vincent Macciocchi, recently appointed vice-president for sales in North America, will lead the company's US operations.
