Intel profits rise strongly

Intel, the computer technology company, reported strong pre-tax profit and revenue growth for the third quarter of the year

Intel, the computer technology company, reported strong pre-tax profit and revenue growth for the third quarter of the year. The company employs almost 3,000 people in Leixlip, Co Kildare. Pre-tax profits rose by 19 per cent to $2.44 billion (£1.6 billion), from last year's corresponding figure of $2.018 billion. Revenue rose by 20 per cent to $6.2 billion.
