The IBEC-CBI joint business council has voted to join the North European Trade Axis, a similar concept to the BelfastDublin economic corridor, which seeks to develop business on a east-west axis. The body involves businesses, universities and local authorities in Britain, the Netherlands, Germany and Eastern Europe. "This project will help to develop trade, investment and business contacts, as well as joint lobbying for the improvement of infrastructure," said CBI chairman in Northern Ireland, Mr Bill Tosh.
