The Grafton Group has increased its stake in rival building materials firm, Heiton Holdings, from 8.85 per cent to 9.48 per cent. Grafton now has an interest in 4.47 million shares in Heitons. Grafton declined to comment on whether it was planning to bid for Heiton, although the successive increase in its stake is fuelling speculation that this is its intention.
